Pyth launches its upgraded version of OIS, introducing on-chain staking rewards and penalty mechanisms

According to BlockBeats, on September 21, Pyth announced the launch of Oracle Integrity Staking (OIS), an upgraded version of Pyth, which aims to improve the reliability of data sources and the security of the DeFi ecosystem.

OIS introduces an on-chain staking reward and penalty mechanism to encourage publishers and PYTH holders to participate in staking and ensure the security of the oracle network. Publishers can get rewards by providing high-quality data, and they will be punished if the data is wrong.

In addition, PYTH holders can stake and delegate to publishers to enhance returns. Pyth DAO will be responsible for overseeing key updates and parameters of OIS.
