Treasure Co-founder Explains Bittersweet Move from Arbitrum to ZKsync

The co-founder of Treasure, Karel Vuong, has published a detailed explanation on X regarding the DAO’s decision to migrate from Arbitrum to ZKsync. Vuong acknowledged that leaving Arbitrum was a bittersweet decision, as the team has developed a strong connection with the Arbitrum ecosystem over the past three years.

While Vuong denied that grants were the primary motivator for the migration, he expressed disappointment with the actions of Arbitrum representatives following the Game Catalyst vote. Vuong felt that despite their efforts to promote GCP within the DAO, Arbitrum representatives were not fully supportive.

Ultimately, the decision to migrate to ZKsync was driven by the team’s belief that ZKsync is better aligned with their vision for large-scale adoption. ZKsync’s scalability, throughput, cost, game possibilities, onboarding, and interoperability capabilities were deemed more conducive to Treasure’s long-term goals.

This move signifies a significant shift for Treasure and could have implications for the broader landscape of layer-2 solutions.
